MINIMALISM
"Removing The Unnecessary"

Main theme of my project is ‘Trees in the streets that I walk by
every day.’ I am presenting this natural structure element as an art
object.
• Apart from any extra sign, symbol and concept. Without adding
any extra meaning of their stance and existence.
• I am presenting few pieces from their bodies, without changing
any color, without adding any artistic touch.
• I just become a mediator to transfer their esthetic stand to you.

THE TOWER OF BABEL - IDENTITY
"My Finger Prints Project"

Each individual person develops different identity concepts depending on own family and community structure. Different culture, different language, different religion, different ethnic structures, different social structure, etc. causes that every person develops different identities. All abovementioned identity concepts are gained by human being after born. But the Finger-Print is the one of the unique identity concept which person has it once he / she falls mother’s uterus. My most important reason to come to Metafora was my desire to have different art shearing / creating experiences with other people from different ethnic origins. I am working to transform my abovementioned desire to reality by creating an art object with people’s fingerprints however is unique for each individual person but does not identify any other specifications like ethnic, religious, etc. People from different cultures, will be in the same art object as purified from gathered identity concepts but with their unique identity characteristic. Only one topic ‘HUMAN’. By creating this art object from finger prints, My vision is to approach an artistic structure to highlight only common identity specification for all people in Metafora ‘special person’, No other emblem, icon, or differences will be highlighted. By collecting this fingerprints on an object, I am targeting to document a record of people who gathered at Metafora from many different backgrounds on 2009-2010 season and also creating a historical link of today to our future.
